چکیده
We investigate a class of Young diagrams growing via the addition unit cells and satisfying constraint that height difference between adjacent columns $\geq r$. In long time limit, appropriately re-scaled approach limit shape we compute for each integer $r\geq 0$. also determine shapes `diffusively' same evolving through removal proceed with equal rates.

Integer partitions and exclusion statistics: Limit shapes and the largest part of Young diagrams
We compute the limit shapes of the Young diagrams of the minimal difference p partitions and provide a simple physical interpretation for the limit shapes. We also calculate the asymptotic distribution of the largest part of the Young diagram and show that the scaled distribution has a Gumbel form for all p. This Gumbel statistics for the largest part remains unchanged even for general partitio...

In this paper we introduce new models for describing the motion of phototaxis, i.e. bacteria that move towards light. Following experimental observations, the first model describes the locations of bacteria, an internal property of the bacteria that is related to the group dynamics, and the interaction between the bacteria and the medium in which it resides. The second model is a new multi-part...
متن کاملHow Similarity Shapes Diagrams
Most diagrams communicate effectively despite the fact that diagrams as a group have a minium of conventions and a high tolerance for novelty. This paper proposes that the diversity and felicity of diagrammatic representation is based on three kinds of similarity between semantic propositions and spatial representations that allow people to interpret diagrams consistently with a minimum of effo...
متن کاملThe Performance of Karafillis-Boyce Yield Function on Determination of Forming Limit Diagrams
Forming Limit Diagrams are useful tools for evaluation of formability in the sheet metals. In this paper the effects of yield criteria on predictions of the right and left-hand sides of forming limit diagrams (FLDs) are investigated. In prediction of FLD, Hosford 1979, “Karafillis-Boyce” (K-B) and BBC2000 anisotropy yield functions have been applied. Whereas the prediction of FLD is based on th...
